Thirty small group 'Author Talk and Tour Experiences' are scheduled to take place at various locations along the river between April and October 2025, each experience is limited to 12 guests and includes:
- Pre-Tour Talk with light refreshments lasting approximately 30 mins.
- Guided Canoe Safari / Tour lasting approximately 90 - 120 mins (all equipment provided)
Tours start from each of Sudbury, Stratford St Mary and Cattawade and are scheduled for Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays mainly during the daytime with a handful of sunrise and sunset paddles scheduled for the summer months.
You are purchasing a voucher to join us on one of these scheduled tours. Once purchased, we'll email you a certificate with 'code' and a link to our tour-portal which can be used to book your prefered date / time / location when you are ready.
Pre-orders are being taken for Christmas 2024 delivery and are offered with Discounts as follows:
- 25% for orders received before 31 October 2024
- 20% for orders received before 7 November 2024
- 10% for orders received before 21 November 2024
FAQ's:
- Will I be paddling on my own? No, canoes are two person craft - we'll 'buddy you up' if you're joining us as a 'single' paddler.
- How fit do I need to be? The pace will be gentle (think walking pace) with plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the scenery - if you are normally 'active' in your day to day life (walking the dog or clearing your 10,000 step count regularly) then you'll be fine.
- What should I wear? Please dress for the weather. Normal sythetic outdoor clothing is fine - there is no need for wetsuits or specialist gear!
- Are there age restrictions? The minimum age to paddle on these tours is 14yrs old, minors must be accompanied by a paid for adult. There is no upper age limit.
- What about the weather? Tours operate in all 'normal' UK weather. If forecasts show dangerous conditions at 6pm the evening before your tour, we'll be in touch to reschedule.
